Meet the Vivian Family from Schwenksville, Pennsylvania. They have 4 beautiful children, two of which were diagnosed with a rare and fatal genetic disorder called Metachromatic Leukodystrophy or as it’s more commonly known, MLD. MLD is a genetic disorder that affects nerves, muscles, other organs, and behavior. It slowly gets worse over time. Eli and Ella are in a fight for their life. Learn how Kona Ice was able to help

Kona Ice Jackson, MS – Linnea Black

Kenneth Shearer is a beloved middle school principal in the Pelahatchie, Mississippi community. So when they discovered that he had a softball-size brain tumor, it only made sense that the community rallied behind the Shearers to help raise money and support. Among others in the community was Kona Ice of the Bayou. The money they raised for this wonderful family went to help purchase a wheelchair he desperately needed and also a lift gate for their van.

Kona Ice Annapolis, MD – Chris O’Kieffe

Kona Ice of Annapolis has teamed up with the Wellness House in hopes to add to their mission to provide support, education and services to help individuals and families who have been touched by cancer. Knowing that sometimes the best thing you can give someone is an escape and a smile, even if momentary, Chris O’Kieffe makes it his mission to visit the
Wellness House as often as he can.

Evan Perricelli – Boone County, KY

Evan holds a dear place in the hearts of everyone in Kona, because he’s hanging on posters all around our office. When we learned that the Perricelli’s discovered that Evan had a rare blood cancer, we wanted to do something to help.
